The wins over Austin Peay and Western Kentucky did two things for Tennessee.
It gave the fans something to cheer about again and it gave the team back their swagger. It was good to see.
Unfortunately it hasn’t lasted long enough. The swagger turned to a defeated frown and the guys in orange left the field with their tails tucked between their legs.
Everything started out with a bang, with UT scoring first and for a short while looked they were going to hang with the big boys.
But Oregon is not Austin Peay or Western Kentucky and it didn’t take long for them to figure out our game plan and took over the game.
Who are we going to point the fingers at this time? The coaches? The players? How about just admitting that we were out played through and through.
Tennessee will be back. This is a good team with a new head coach, who is doing everything he can, except get out on the field and play.
I’m even going out on a limb here and say that I think we will be beat Florida. After coming off of last week’s humiliating loss, we are ready for the “W” to be back on our side.
Watch for that swagger. I think you’ll see it soon.
