At approximately 5:30 p.m. Thursday, Nov. 1, shots were fired outside the Dillard Department Store at West Town Mall. The initial police call was that it was domestic related, but dispatchers were apparently not given much information by the caller who reported it. 

One person was transported to UT Medical Center. Knoxville Police were on the scene. WBIR was describing the incident as an officer-involved shooting.
