KCSO Inmate back in jail

A Knox County inmate is back in the Knox County Sheriff’s Office Detention Facility after he walked away from work detail on Nov. 5.

Accordign to Knox County Sheriff J. J. Jones, Twenty-three-year-old James Eric Anderson left the Boys and Girls Club on Carrick Street where he was assigned around 8:15 a.m. on Monday morning. He was found at the Red Roof Inn on Papermill Road around 4:30 p.m. and taken back into custody without incident by KCSO officers.

Anderson was initially in custody on a domestic assault violation of probation, and is now charged with escape from a penal institution with a bond of $8,000.
