Robin Roberts
Good Morning America anchor Robin Roberts revealed today that she will undergo chemotherapy and a bone marrow transplant after being diagnosed with a blood and bone marrow disorder called MDS.
The 51-year-old, who battled breast cancer in 2007, said her older sister, Sally-Ann Roberts, will be her donor, as she is a perfect match.
Dierks Bentley
Dierks Bentley just wanted to have some fun with his friends, so he’s releasing a new 4-song EP called “Country and Cold Cans.” It’s due out August 21st. The EP will only be released digitally and Dierks is doing a quick 3-date tour across the South to promote the project on August 20-22.
Kenny and Willie
Kenny Chesney will join Willie Nelson, Neil Young, John Mellencamp and Dave Matthews on stage at this year’s Farm Aid Concert. Chesney says family farmers were a big part of his childhood community near Knoxville and he’s proud to take part in the benefit concert.

Kristen Stewart has apologized publically to “Twilight” co-star Robert Pattinson following tabloid reports she had a brief, but steamy affair with her “Snow White and the Huntsman” director Rupert Sanders. Stewart has been in a relationship for several years with Pattinson. Sanders is married and has 2 children.
Carrie Underwood
Carrie Underwood is paying tribute to teachers like her mom by performing at a live concert and charity event on CBS. It’s called “Teachers Rock,” and it’s happening August 18th in Los Angeles. Underwood will be joined by Dierks Bentley.

Surgery has briefly sidelined country star Toby Keith. He had his gallbladder removed and was forced to reschedule a show Thursday, July 31, in Wisconsin. Toby will resume his “Live in Overdrive” tour Friday in Minnesota.

Sugarland is among this year’s inductees into the Georgia Music Hall of Fame. Jennifer Nettles and Kristian Bush are joined by .38 Special and the music director for the Atlanta Symphony Orchestra.
Sheryl Crow
Sheryl Crow has been granted a temporary restraining order against a man who publicly threated to shoot the Grammy-winning singer-songwriter. Crow said she is afraid of Phillip Gordon Sparks because he has claimed online that he believes Crow stole money from him and broke into his house.
Bret Michaels
Rocker Bret Michaels and longtime girlfriend Kristi Gibson have called off their engagement and have separated. Michaels and Gibson have dated on and off for about 18 years and got engaged in 2010. They have 2 daughters.
Charlie Sheen
These are better days for “Anger Management” star Charlie Sheen, whose FX sitcom is halfway through its initial 10-episode run and poised to get an order for 90 more. Sheen told reporters that doing the show is as “exciting as hell,” cheerily adding that 90 more episodes may not be enough.
