Harshaw Wanted for Shooting

The Knox County Sheriff’s Office is asking for help in locating 36-year-old Ronnie Harshaw.

Harshaw is wanted in connection with a shooting incident that happened at approximately 4:30 a.m., Monday, Sept. 18, at Bakertown Apartments.  According to witnesses, Harshaw and two other men knocked on the front door and windows and then fired two rounds. One of those went through a front window and another hit a wall inside the apartment. Nineteen-year-old Kayla Thompson was hit by bullet fragments and was transported to UT Hospital with non -life threatening injuries.  Several adults and children were in the apartment at the time of the shooting.

Harshaw is considered armed and dangerous and anyone who knows his whereabouts is asked to call the Knox County Sheriff’s Office at 215-2243.  He is identified as black, 5-feet-11, 185-195 pounds with black hair and brown eyes.  He has many tattoos, with most being gang affiliated.

Harshaw has a criminal history of domestic assault and has served time in the state penitentiary for robbery and aggravated assault.
