When ESPN was in town a few weeks ago, a friendly face dropped by the Sherri Parker Lee Stadium and signed the UT 2012 Women’s College World Series softball mural in the clubhouse foyer.

“We love seeing the Lady Vols in OKC!!” Rowe signed on the mural.

The mural 15 feet long and 11 feet high and it was added to the clubhouse this summer to commemorate Tennessee’s outstanding stretch of five Women’s College World Series appearances in the last eight years.

“It was really neat to see Holly again and have her sign our mural,” Tennessee co-head coach Ralph Weekly said. “Our players have grown close to Holly and the ESPN crew during our visits to the College World Series. Every player in college softball wants to be in Oklahoma City in the first week of June and wants to be interviewed by Holly Rowe.”

The Lady Vols hope to be reunited with Rowe in 2013 at Hall of Fame Stadium in Oklahoma City, Okla.
