Discount Days offered at the Tennessee Valley Fair, September 7-16
East Tennesseans on a budget can enjoy the 93rd annual Tennessee Valley Fair by taking advantage of a variety of Discount Days:
The Tennessee Valley Fair is one of the state’s largest multi-day events attracting nearly 140,000 people each year. The 93rd annual fair begins the Friday after Labor Day, September 7-16. Known for its innovative exhibits, livestock shows, concert series, action sports, exciting rides and a variety of unique fun foods, the Tennessee Valley Fair offers tremendous family entertainment. Opening Day $1 Special – Friday, September 7
In celebration of our 93rd year, Fairgoers can enter the Fairgrounds on Friday, September 7 for only $1. Discount begins at 3:00 p.m. and ends promptly at 4:33 p.m.
Tailgating at the Fair – Saturday, September 8
Wear Tennessee or Georgia State team colors and receive $2 off an adult admission.
Paint the Fair Pink Day – Sunday, September 9
In partnership with the Knoxville Affiliate of Susan G. Komen for the Cure, wear pink and get $2 off each admission.
Tennessee Valley Fair Student Day – Sunday, September 9
Students age 12 years+ receive $2 off adult admission. Students age 6-11 years receive $1 off child admission.
Fox 43 Student Day – Monday, September 10
Students 12th grade and under receive FREE admission from 10:00 a.m. until 6:00 p.m.
Senior Citizens Day – Tuesday, September 11
Seniors age 65+ receive FREE admission all day. Presented by Senior Home Assistance of Tennessee
Penny 4 Arts – Tuesday, September 11
FREE admission is offered to all Knox County students participating in the Arts & Culture Alliance of Greater Knoxville’s Penny 4 Arts program on Tuesday, September 11. Email pr@tnvalleyfair.org to request a ticket.
Tennessee Education Lottery Day – Wednesday, September 12
$2.00 off adult admission with any non-winning Tennessee Lottery ticket.
Tailgating at the Fair – Saturday, September 15
Wear Tennessee or Florida team colors and receive $2 off an adult admission.
Scout Day – Saturday, September 15, 2012
$3 admission for all Girl & Boy Scouts. One adult/chaperon admission price is discounted to $3 with purchase of two Scouts tickets. Scouts will enjoy special activities and have the opportunity to earn a special patch.
Hometown Heroes Day – Sunday, September 16, 2012
Current and past military, policeman, deputy sheriffs, firefighters, first responders & current teachers receive $1 admission with proper identification.
