Knoxville Police temporarily shut the Knoxville College campus down while investigators conducted a investigation on the scene of an aggravated assault and a robbery against two juveniles, Friday, Sept. 21.
Accrding to Sgt. Shawn T. Neal, Knoxville Police Department, at approximately 3:10 p.m. officers responded to 901 Knoxville College Dr. where one of the juvenile victims and a parent told them that at approximately 2:55 p.m. a group of six or seven black males had attempted to rob and assault two juvenile victims while they were on the campus. The victim stated that the suspects beat one of them and threatened both with a firearm. The suspects also made one of the victims empty their pockets and then took those items. The two juvenile victims then fled from the Knoxville College Campus and called police.
It is unclear whether the suspects are students at Knoxville College or were non-student visitors to the campus.
The investigation is ongoing and the identities of the victims are being withheld because they are juveniles.
